Slow Food Hobart is our local Convivium of the organisation Slow Food International.  This organisation originated in northern Italy in 1986 and now has more than 100,000 members in over 160 countries.

Slow Food is committed to protecting traditional & sustainable quality foods, primary ingredients, conserving methods of cultivation & processing & defending the biodiversity of cultivated & wild varieties.

Our philosophy encompasses food that is:
